If you’ve been around 12 step meetings for any length of time, chances are you’ve heard the words of the serenity prayer. When we’re caught in the middle of life’s most stressful moments—when things don’t go the way we plan—when everything seems against us; in those trying times, we need more serenity than we could possibly conjure up on our own.
The serenity prayer reminds us that can’t fix everything and we have to be okay with that. It also reminds us that when we’re weighed down with worry, we can change some things, mainly our attitude toward the situation.
The Serenity Prayer Film.
The short film focuses on an addict who, because of his drinking habits, risks losing custody of his young son. As he struggles to deal with his personal crisis, he finds new comfort in the words of the Serenity Prayer.

Reel Recovery Film Festival
This will be the first Reel Recovery Film festival in San Francisco. Sponsored by Alcohol Justice the festival will be held at the Delancey Street Theater. The festival will feature select feature-length, short and documentary films highlighting alcohol and drug addiction as well as recovery.
