Kara Levinson, RN, BSN, MBA/HCM
Nursing Director
Kara Levinson joined Duffy’s Napa Valley as our Director of Nursing in November of 2022 after moving to California from Boston, MA. She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of South University, where she received her LPN, RN, and eventually BSN. From there, Kara went onto Columbia Southern University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Master’s in Business Administration and Health Care Management.
Over her 23-year medical career, Kara has served as a pediatric home, pulmonary vent, and vascular ICU nurse. She also spent 17 of those years in addiction medicine with Adcare Hospital, a level 4 detox and rehabilitation center in Worcester, MA, specializing in the treatment of substance use disorders with medical comorbidities. While at Adcare, Kara worked her way up from First Contact Nurse, to Nurse Manager, and eventually Nursing Director for her 34-bed unit, gaining a wealth of expertise around diverse patient populations and recovery along the way.
Kara hopes to bring her experience from the east coast to the west coast and continue expanding her knowledge base. Her goal is to put her skills to good use at Duffy’s and make a difference in the lives of our guests.
