Dual Diagnosis Support at Duffy’s
What is dual diagnosis treatment?
Located in Calistoga, California, Duffy’s Napa Valley Rehab is pleased to offer a comprehensive suite of services for individuals who are struggling with substance abuse and mental health concerns. As a long-standing leader in the recovery community, Duffy’s has welcomed guests to our campus in northern California for many years and has supported countless individuals on the road to recovery.
Our full spectrum of services includes inpatient and continuing care programming, dual diagnosis treatment, as-needed detox programming, and transitional support. Dual diagnosis treatment is a specific form of integrated care that combines treatment components that address both substance abuse and mental health disorders in unison. All guests who heal at Duffy’s must have a primary substance use disorder diagnosis, but through our dual diagnosis programming, they can receive specialized support for co-occurring mental health concerns. We incorporate evidence-based therapeutic approaches, groups, and classes, such as dialectical behavior therapy skills training, Seeking Safety, motivational interviewing, and consultation, assessment, and monitoring by a psychologist or psychiatrist, when indicated.
Whole-Person Care
Comprehensive dual diagnosis programming for mind, body, and spirit
At Duffy’s, we utilize a personalized, integrated approach to treatment planning that takes into account our guests’ unique strengths and challenges as they make strides toward healthy living. For many, this includes addressing mental health concerns in tandem with issues of chemical dependency.
Our dual diagnosis programming is founded on the philosophy that for lasting healing to occur, we must include interventions that address all aspects of wellness. Often, symptoms of untreated mental illnesses like anxiety and depression can cause an individual’s addictive behaviors to worsen. However, the reverse is also true. By creating a path to recovery that reflects the needs of our guests’ minds, bodies, and spirits, we’ve developed a community of care that boasts a 90% completion rate.
Expert Treatment for Dual Diagnosis
Experience, compassion, credentials
Many guests arrive at Duffy’s with dual diagnosis treatment needs, and our staff of experienced professionals is adept at creating plans of care that reflect both substance abuse and mental health disorders at the same time. We know that neglecting to address critical aspects of wellness such as mental and emotional health can damage an individual’s ability to achieve sustained sobriety. So, the Duffy’s treatment team works to ensure that our guests’ presenting concerns are identified, evaluated, monitored, and addressed throughout their stay.
