Located in Calistoga, California, Duffy’s Napa Valley Rehab provides partial hospitalization programming (PHP) for adults whose struggles with addiction have impacted their daily lives. This highly structured outpatient program can help you set the groundwork for successful, lasting recovery.
Continuum of Care
The partial hospitalization program (PHP) at Duffy’s Napa Valley Rehab serves adults age 18 and older who are struggling with addictions and co-occurring mental health concerns. The care we provide through this program can benefit an array of populations, including veterans, first responders, parents who are in recovery, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
While you can start your recovery process directly at the PHP level, this program is most often the second step in our continuum of care. The first step typically begins with our residential program, after which you would continue your progress by stepping down to our partial hospitalization program.
A partial hospitalization program is an outpatient program that provides much more structure than you’d find at the traditional outpatient level. Because this is a nonresidential program, you will return home or to another supported home environment at the end of the treatment day. Many people find that the combination of structured days and flexible evenings offers the chance to start solidifying the recovery skills they have learned while in residential treatment.
The average length of program participation is 21 days, though this can vary depending on your specific progress and therapeutic goals. We evaluate everyone individually to determine how long they should spend in our PHP before they take the next steps on their recovery journey.
Care Experience
No two people walk the same road to recovery. At Duffy’s, we honor each person’s unique path by individualizing the care they receive at our campus in Calistoga, California. As a part of these efforts, our staff will conduct a detailed evaluation of your medical history and current concerns before custom-building a care plan tailored to your specific needs.
We primarily use group therapy in our PHP, so you can expect to take part in group sessions several times a day, six days a week. We offer different types of group sessions depending on your specific therapeutic goals, so your sessions might include wellness classes, mindfulness, emotion regulation, or relapse prevention.
During your time in our PHP, you may also take part in life skills training once a week, during which you can develop essential strategies that may help you transition back to your daily life. You may also meet weekly with a counselor, and you have the option to request family counseling sessions.
Because everyone heals in their own way, we use different approaches in our PHP to help our guests find recovery. This might include dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), the 12 Steps of recovery, motivational interviewing, and humanistic therapy.
Our caring and compassionate team will work closely with you every step of the way, collaborating with you on your care and making sure that you continually make progress toward your recovery goals. However, our support doesn’t end after you complete our PHP. We are committed to your long-term success, so we offer free virtual aftercare meetings on Zoom from 3-4 p.m. for our alumni every week.
Location & Housing
The partial hospitalization services at Duffy’s are located on our campus in Calistoga, California. This is a nonresidential program, so most people live at home while taking part in our PHP, and they commute to and from our campus.
However, we understand that not everyone can or prefers to stay at home while taking part in our PHP. For this reason, we offer housing right on our campus for PHP participants. During times when space is limited, our guests also have the option of staying in nearby sober living housing.
To learn more about housing opportunities or any other features of the PHP at Duffy’s, please reach out to us directly. A knowledgeable member of our team can answer any questions you might have about how Duffy’s can help you get on the road to successful recovery.
