Rise Program at Duffy’s in Northern California

At Duffy’s Napa Valley Rehab, located in Calistoga, California, we provide individualized care for members of the service community who are struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns. Through our RISE (Reclaiming Inspiration, Sobriety, and Endurance) program, we aim to restore hope and promote long-term healing for those who selflessly serve our communities.

Serving Those Who Serve

Our evidence-based RISE program is designed specifically for military members, veterans, and first responders who are struggling with substance use concerns and the complex challenges that often accompany trauma.

At our California campus, our compassionate team provides comprehensive support that addresses all aspects of wellness. By nurturing the mind, body, and spirit, we aim to help service personnel achieve lasting healing.

Many members of the military and first responder communities often suffer in silence with their struggles due to stigma and the lack of accessible care. At Duffy’s Napa Valley Rehab, we provide a safe and nurturing environment where service personnel can openly share their experiences and receive the support they deserve.

Our ultimate goal is to help these courageous individuals overcome addictions and empower them to rediscover their inner strength and reclaim their lives.

Specialized Programming for Service Personnel

At Duffy’s Napa Valley Rehab, we offer specialized care to meet the unique needs of those who bravely serve our communities. Whether it’s the challenges of deployment or the demands of front-line duties, service personnel experience highly stressful situations on a daily basis.

We understand that these stressors can cause some individuals to turn to substances as a way to cope. Additionally, exposure to trauma, a common occurrence among military personnel and first responders, significantly increases their risk for developing trauma-related conditions, such as posttraumatic stress disorder.

Research in The National Library of Medicine reveals the critical link between military and first responder communities and the prevalence of PTSD. Key findings include:

  • Trauma exposure is the primary cause of posttraumatic stress disorder in these groups.
  • Despite its high prevalence, many individuals within these communities either do not seek help or lack access to proper care.
  • Nearly 80% of those who suffer from PTSD also struggle with symptoms of other mental health concerns, like substance abuse and anxiety.

These findings highlight the urgent need for comprehensive support within these communities. That’s why we’ve designed our RISE program specifically for military members, veterans, and first responders who are battling substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns, such as posttraumatic stress disorder, depression, and anxiety.

Our team of professionals includes licensed therapists, counselors, physicians, and other medical and support staff. In our RISE program, we also have staff members who have direct experience working with members of the service community. This well-rounded expertise allows our guests to receive highly individualized and effective care.

Within our RISE program, guests explore a variety of topics that are relevant to their unique experiences. These include:

  • Occupational and critical incident stress
  • Line-of-duty trauma
  • Moral injury
  • Military sexual trauma
  • Fitness for duty
  • Stoicism, depersonalization, and derealization

At our campus in Calistoga, we are committed to providing unwavering support for these brave individuals as they navigate their path to wellness.
